Hermitage

In Eastern Davidson county, you’ll find a historic neighborhood called Hermitage. The area was named after the home of Andrew Jackson, also named The Hermitage. The national historic landmark, an alluring plantation home, is located in the town and was home to Jackson from 1804 - 1845. Now it’s a major tourist destination even housing its own museum. Many years ago, Hermitage was an entirely rural area but now it’s a pretty self-sufficient town full of retail shops and homes that range from starters to larger family homes.
